Camping at Yuba

Last weekend we went camping at Yuba Lake with some friends.  We've been contemplating buying a toy hauler for a few months and have done a lot of shopping around for one.  Our friends planned a camping trip to Yuba a while back and we decided we'd only go if we had a trailer to stay in because camping+pregnant me+baby+dogs didn't exactly sound like fun if we had to sleep in a tent.

So last week, just in time for the camping trip, we made the purchase.

 We went back and forth on which one to buy, and finally decided on this one.  It was definitely a good purchase!  We got to Yuba Friday at like 7:30ish, even though we had a stove and oven, we still made hobo dinners in the fire.  They were delicious.  We put Maxon to bed at about 9, and surprisingly, he went right to sleep!  He usually hates to sleep in the pack 'n play, but he laid right down and just went to sleep.  I think the hum of the generator helped a lot.  Unfortunately, we had to turn the generator off after 10 pm.  He still slept 100 times better than he would have in a tent I have a feeling.  At about midnight we finally made it to bed too.  Way later than my usual 9:30 or 10.  Maxon woke up when we were in getting ready for bed, and was wide awake and just wanted to play.

This is him ready to play at midnight.  As soon as we were ready for bed, we laid him back down and he went back to sleep and slept until Elway decided to bark at about 7:15 and woke us all up.  Dang dog!  Saturday was cloudy and windy, not a great day for boating.  Maxon and I mostly just hung out on the beach and played in the sand.  We did ride the wave runners for a while.   Maxon liked riding with daddy.

 It was a really fun weekend.  We were all very dirty and pretty tired when we got home.  Hopefully we'll be taking more camping trips now that we have the trailer to enjoy!
