Quick trip to San Diego

We started off our busy week with a quick trip to San Diego to watch the Broncos take on the Chargers. A guy Trent works with bought 2 10th row tickets to the Chargers/Broncos Monday night football game and couldn't go at the last minute so he offered them to Trent and we just couldn't turn them down. So Sunday morning we booked a flight, scrambled to find somewhere for the kids to go for a couple days (thanks again Heather and Marilyn! You guys are the best!), and hopped on a plane that evening. We got to our hotel about midnight.

Monday morning we slept in, then got up and drove to see the temple. I'd never seen it before and of course loved it! It was so pretty and next time we're there I'd love to see the inside!

We didn't do much that afternoon, just drove around, then ate lunch at a place my brother Jeremy suggested. A great suggestion! A fun little mexican place called Rockin Baja Lobster grill. It was delicious! Trent got the shrimp and bacon tacos and I got the lobster tacos. Highly recommended if you're ever in San Diego! After we ate, we headed to the stadium to cheer on the Broncos. Our seats were awesome! 10th row down on the field in the corner of the endzone!

It was so cool to actually be close enough to see the players. It was an awesome game and I'm so glad we got to be there!

And we finished the night off perfect with a trip to Pinkberry for some yummy frozen yogurt!

It was a fun little trip and it was good to get away from the stresses of work and life for just a day!
